Myth 1  :  You can get rid of cellulite

FACT:  Sadly, nothing can be done to permanently eliminate it – not even liposuction. You can, however, temporarily reduce its appearance with firming or moisturising treatments and products

Myth 2 :  Good skincare helps with your complexion

FACT: It helps, but skin also depends on good circulations. If your arteries are in bad shape, expect a dull and lackluster complexion. Seek early treatment or eat healthy to normalize blood pressure and brighten up your skin.

Myth 3 : Crossing your legs causes varicose veins

FACT: Crossing your legs won’t cause varicose veins, but standing may. Standing makes the vascular network work extra hard to pump blood from the legs up to the heart. If the valves aren’t functioning properly, blood stasis can occur, which results in varicose or spider veins. Other factors include pregnancy and traumatic injuries.

Myth 4 : Drinking water keeps your skin hydrated

FACT: What keeps skin moist is oil, not water. Certainly, drinking water helps vital organs operate properly and dehydration can lead to a pale appearance. However your skin can still lok dry when you don’t nourish it with facial treatment oils even if you drink eight glasses a day.

Myth 5 : Tanning booths without UVB rays are safe

FACT: Tanning salons often say that their services are free of UVB rays which are the main culprits behind sunburns. But when you go to a tanning booth, you are still exposing your skin to UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin and cause damage that can lead to premature aging and skin cancer.
